About us

Founded in 2011 by Roberta Gaiofatto, WonderDog (originally Dog Walker Suisse) serves dogs, cats and all kind of animals (reptiles, birds, fish, rabbits…) and their families in Lausanne, Morges and the surrounding areas.

Originally a lawyer, I am a Swiss-certified dog trainer (MECB – Fédération Suisse de Cynologie), lifelong Great Dane breeder, and pet owner (including small dogs, birds, fishes, turtles, chickens…the list is long!), with years of experience caring for animals, including working with abused and rescued dogs. After moving to Switzerland, I decided to change my life and dedicate my time to my real passion: animals.

Since then, I’ve been furthering my skills by taking several professional training courses such as Fédération Romande de Cynologie (Switzerland) MECB - Moniteur d’Éducation Canine de Base (or simply, professional dog trainer and dog walker recognized by OSAV/Canton de Vaud) and Professional Dog Walker; Show dog’s handling courses both in Switzerland (with Mme. Ariane Ruf) and Italy (Dog Show University with Richard Hellman); courses as «Comment occuper intelligemment et efficacement son chien au quotidien?» (How to keep your doggy busy, with Dr. Joël Dehasse), « Dog Emotion and Cognition » at Duke University, and a Pet First Aid Course in England.

Thinking about what I wanted for my own two dogs, Ivy (a West Highland white terrier) and Sahara (a Great Dane), all my work is based on force-free and positive reinforcement. To sum it up: my mission is to help the owners to build a long-term relationship with their pets based on mutual trust and respect.
